It might matter to you too if you're "sick of posting URLs in emails only to have it break when sent causing the recipient to have to cut and paste it back together". For example, http://tinyurl.com/3dj9q will get you Google News items on Danny Ainge ... it is Saint Patrick's Day after all ... and we all know size matters to Danny.
